Beautiful azawakh Py’s Aisha was Best In Show-3 in Kaarina FCI-10 Group Show. We want to congratulate her owner Outi Lehtonen. Aida is such a delight for the eye. How can something so beautiful and magnificent exist.

Solveig participated in the Group Show with result Excellent-3 in Junior Class. Judge was Christian Magre from France.

Mr. Magre breeds Borzois and Greyhounds under the kennelname Belouyeva. He is president of the France Greyhound Club and the Coursing Club. Mr. Magre is also a coursing and racing judge so you could say that he values and understands both beauty and function of sighthounds.

Mr. Magre handled the Italian Greyhounds lovely and he even took photos of the dogs.  So it seemed he was specially interested in IG’s . When it was time for Solveigs evaluation on the table Mr. Magre even made a joke. He seemed to have a good sense of humour and the show experience was comfortable.

We want to congratulate owner Jenni Peltokorpi and breeder Leena Jääskelä for the achievement of handsome “Luca” Ylladian Opal Code. Luca was Best Of Breed and became Finnish Champion of Beauty.

It was lovely to see so many beautiful sighthounds and meet their owners. Thank you everyone for the nice company during the show. The show was also very well organized. Thanks to all the volunteers from the Turku Sighthound Club who made a huge effort to make such a nice show for us all to enjoy.

Solveig got her official measurement today. She is 36,5cm. We are very happy with her size. Big thanks to Bea and Hepe at Helsinki Sighthound Club for measuring our girl! Now we will apply for Lure Coursing licence for Solveig.

Solveig participated in the International Winter Dog Show in Turku. Judge was Mrs. Lotte Jorgensen from Denmark. She is an Afghan Hound breeder, kennel Boxadan. The judge tested the dogs personalities in the ring by making funny noises to see how the dogs would react to it. Overall Mrs. Jorgensen seemed to be fond of the breed which made a nice atmosphere for the show. Solveig got an Excellent and was 3rd in Junior Class.

We had the pleasure to meet Elin’s half-brother Uljas, Northgate’s Giorgio Armani. He is such a sweet little boy. Uljas’s result was Junior Class 1 Excellent  with reserve-CAC and he was 3rd Best Male.

Best part of the day was when Elin’s sister Latte, Northgate’s Envy Me, was selected as Best Of Breed. Latte’s result was Open Class Excellent 1, Best Bitch, CAC & CACIB. This ment that she got her Finnish Championship title. Big congratulations to Latte’s owner Pia and Latte’s breeder Hanna! <3

SIC, Italian greyhound and Cirneco dell’Etna Club of Finland was founded 10 years ago. The Club had a fair booth at the Finnish Winner and Nordic Winner shows.

Over 17 000 dogs from 19 countries participated in the dog shows and about 35 000 people visited the Shows. Here you can find the main results for the Winner Show and the Nordic Winner Show.

Kaapo participated in arranging the SIC fair booth. He made posters and videos for the booth and spent the show days representing the Club with other club members. Elin spent her show days also at the fair booth as a mascot. It was a very successful event and all the SIC members had a lovely time together and with the booth visitors. Thanks to all the people who came to explore these lovely breeds!
